What will make you beat your spouse?

Hi guys, i am getting really scared! I mean scared.We keep hearing news everyday that people who are in a relationship are beating themselves up!The latest is Chris Brown and Rihanna.My question is this...what will your spouse do for you to beat him or her?I understand some ladies beat their guys too!!!I'm just scared, i think i am too old for beating.
